VISITORS

Covid Masks: Optional

Visitors are always welcome at Son Life worship services and social functions. Whatever brings you to Son Life: curious about the church with the bell tower, looking for a new church home, or visiting with friends or family, we are blessed to have you with us. We have put together some answers to the most common questions we receive from visitors to our church. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do I have to be a member, or Lutheran, to attend service?

No. We welcome active Christians of all denominations, as well as the non-churched to our Worship services. We openly share our faith in Christ with everyone.

I’m a snowbird wintering in the area. Do I have to transfer my home church membership to Son Life?

No. You are free to choose your church up north or Son Life as your home church. We welcome all seasonal visitors and vacationers as friends of Son Life. You may take Associate Membership at Son Life if you wish to retain your full membership elsewhere.

There’s another Lutheran church closer to my home. Shouldn’t I attend there?

LCMS churches don’t use the parish boundary system. You’re not obligated to attend a church only in your home town or zip code. Our members come from all over Palm Beach County, not just Boynton Beach! Towns represented include Wellington, Lake Worth, Greenacres, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lantana, and of course much of unincorporated Palm Beach County.

Should I become a member?

Being a member (communicants aged 18 years or older) allows you to vote in church matters such as election of officers, and allows you to hold office. Being a member also means submitting to the constitution and by-laws of Son Life, and contributing your God-given talents and abilities to help the congregation grow in its mission.
